The songs that will accompany players throughout their 2020/2021 journey are carefully selected by the team in charge of this aspect of the game. The soundtrack must represent the game's philosophies and create a proper ambiance for playing.

NBA 2K21 soundtrack includes more than 40 songs. The total play time is two hours and 31 minutes. One interesting request from the player base is to include the uncensored version of the songs. This is highly unlikely due to the ESRB rating. ESRB is a USA organization that assigns age ratings to video games. We don't have the rating for NBA 2K21 yet but the current game has the E rating. E stands for Everyone which means that the game is suitable for all ages.
NBA 2K21's rating is RP for the moment which means is still pending. Including the uncensored version of the songs would make the game unsuitable for certain age categories which means a reduction of the player base.
