NBA 2K17 MyTeam mode was enhanced with a new type of packs that contain special players. These packs were designed to celebrate players that had great accomplishments during Playoffs. Players from the past and the present are available in NBA 2K17 packs that can be bought with virtual NBA 2K17 MT. All players have 95 overall and are diamond cards. Here are some of the players included in these special Historic Playoff Moments packs along with their big moment that earned them a place in NBA history.

Sleepy Floyd's big moment came in 1987 during the Western Conference semifinals. At this time, Floyd was playing for the Golden State Warriors. He managed to score 51 points and his 10 assists in game four secured his team's victory. Another player that was part of the same team and is now featured as a Historic Playoff Moment card is Stephen Jackson. He managed to score 33 points.

In 2007, Daniel Gibson from Cleveland Cavaliers helped his team achieve a spot in the NBA finals by scoring 31 game points and 19 points in the last quarter. In the EFC tournament from 2012, during the Boston Celtics and Miami Heat game, Rajon Rondo (Boston) had a spectacular performance with 44 scored points. In 1988 Playoffs, during the Lakers versus Spurs match, Mychal Thompson was called into the game and he scored 29 points and also made 16 rebounds.
